Friday January 30th
Today we took care of a lot of paperwork and such at the school. The campus consists of 4 buildings tucked in about a 5 block radius near the San Lorenzo market. Where we live is mostly residential so it was fun wandering around the busy streets. Every day we walk right by the Duomo so on our walk home we decided we should probably check it out. It’s so huge that it almost seems fake because In the middle of all of the cramped buildings and tiny streets stands this magnificent structure dominating the Firenze (Florence) skyline. The interior is beautiful as well but the exterior amazes me the most.

For dinner we still didn’t have enough food to make an actual meal so we decided to eat out again. We chose an African restaurant that captured our attention earlier in the day. I’m still not really sure what kind of cuisine it was…seems like a mix of African, Mexican, and Jamaican. Whatever it was it was delicious, cheap and had great atmosphere. We ordered at the counter downstairs and decided to sit upstairs where there was a tree house – esque vibe. Definitely will be going back.
